BASIC CHICKEN DUST (CHICKEN BATTER)

I use this for my fried chicken and chicken livers, and I am certain this will go well with any food that requires a batter.  I usually do several batches, so I always have it on hand.*  This recipe makes 2 cups.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp. sweet paprika
  • 4 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. salt*
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. red pepper flakes

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a medium sized bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Store in an airtight container for future use.

Notes:

*When using the double batter I always use about a cup at at time to prevent cross contamination.

**I use 1 Tbsp. salt, but everyone has different tastes. Always taste your flour batter and adjust to your liking.
